Features controlled lists suitable for populating metadata associated with local government resources. All lists are built on the same XML framework. Each is presented as an XML resource and presented in multiple other formats for both manual inspection and machine reading. Mappings between lists are also published. Each local government list is supported through the esd-toolkit and its online forum.

esd-suppliers makes it possible for suppliers from the private sector to participate in the esd community.
With esd-toolkit supplier membership you can use esd-toolkit as a vehicle to develop two way engagement with local authorities.
esd-suppliers Integration Practice (formerly the Local Government Integration Practice - LGIP) facilitates collaboration between suppliers and their local authority customers, to deliver integration capabilities according to non-proprietary standards.

The place for discussion of esd-toolkit, standards, interoperability, working groups and more. Certain forums are restricted to users with a '.gov.uk' email address registering through the esd-toolkit, while others are open to a wider audience, including private sector users registering through esd-suppliers or the Integration Practice (formerly LGIP).
