These pages describe XML schemas used for data managed by esd-toolkit and related United Kingdom public sector initiatives.
Schemas are designed with a view to meeting the GovTalk schema guidelines and are being submitted for formal acceptance by relevant bodies.
Interactive viewer - The viewer presents the XML schemas in a tree view.
Schemas include:
The Local Directgov page describes the WebPortal and LocalDirectgov schemas for exchanging information with Web portals on service delivery through the Web and other channels. The schemas were developed for the Local Directgov programme in consultation with councils who developed Somerset Online and with the Local e-Government Standards Body.
Business and technical guidance documents are published for the schema.
Go to the LocalDirectgov schema in the XML schema tree view.
One standard schema is issued for all controlled lists in XML format: taxonomy.xsd.
One schema defines the format of XML mappings between any two lists: mapping.xsd
Further guidance will soon be published on schemas used, on a separate schema for nested XML and on a schema for subsets of controlled lists.
Schemas for self-service web content from the Local Authority Websites (LAWs) National Project and mediated content from the Knowledge Management National Project, used in local government.
XML compliant with these schemas can be seen from the content displayed from the LGSL viewer.
Go to the self-service web content schema in the XML schema tree view.
Go to the mediated content schema in the XML schema tree view.
