A draft list from the LAWs Project of types of resource, often seen as 'document types'. The list extends that given at http://www.govtalk.gov.uk/searchresult2.asp?docnum=679, with types identified while building the Local Government Category List. The list is proposed for consideration as a 'scheme' for populating the e-GMS 'type' element.
XSD and RDFS schemas are subject to modification following definition of standards by the e-Government Unit Metadata Technical Working Group and the W3C taxonomy group. In the event of changes, we shall endeavour to support the formats given as legacy formats.
LGTL version 0.01 was released on 30 January 2004:

LGTL version 0.02 if revised has a submissions deadline of May 1st 2007 and has a planned release date of June 1st 2007.
This XML file is the official version. The file is still considered to be a draft because there is extensive discussion in the local government community about that and LAWs is eager to accommodate a wide ranger of requirements. It is likely that the format of lgtl.xml will not be subject to much further revision.
