Also known as esd-toolkit's "PID List", LGSL is mature list which has, until this draft version, defined UK local authority citizen facing services.
As the scope of LGSL has expanded in this version to cover services provided by other agency types (in the areas of children's and emergency services) and internal services there remains a need to have a list of local authority citizen facing services.
This subset includes all services in the previous version of LGSL (2.02) used by esd-toolkit together with any additional services requested by local authority officers since version 2.02 was released which are considered to fall within the original scope of LGSL.

XML files
LGSL version 3.05 was released on 30 June 2008:
LGSL version 3.06 has a submissions deadline of 30 September 2008 and has a planned release date of 31 October 2008.
This XML file is the official version. The file is still considered to be a draft because there is extensive discussion in the local government community about that and LAWs is eager to accommodate a wide ranger of requirements. It is likely that the format of lgsltermslist.xml will not be subject to much further revision.
